Am I Good Enough?

Am I good enough?

It’s a question we all ask ourselves, and ultimately allow ourselves to live by.

Good enough for who? For the people around us that don’t invest in a relationship with us, nor do they really even know us? For the people that we don’t know and have never met? That’s silly. To try to spend all our efforts on impressing people we don’t even know.

What does good enough mean? Having it together and succeeding at our job and every day lives? Does it mean we meet some type of qualification that means were worthy of someone else’s time and attention?

It doesn’t matter who you are, whether successful or not, rich or barely making it by, social butterfly or shy, talented or not, YOU ARE good enough. Good enough to pursue your dreams. Good enough to live the life you dream of. Good enough to be loved by someone else entirely for you are, and not just who they think you are.

Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone falls short. We are not capable of being perfect. It doesn’t matter how “together” someone looks, there is more going on than what you can see.

We all have an important role to play in the puzzle of life in the world we live in. We all have our own unique talents and capabilities that no one else has. Even if someone has the same talent as you, no one can do it just like you can. There’s a quote by Edwin Elliot that couldn’t say it better,

“Just by being yourself, you put something wonderful in the world that was not there before.”

So embrace what makes you, you. Be proud of who you are, because YOU ARE good enough.
