Who am I
That You would look at me with eyes of love
And pursue me
With everything that you are?
Who am I, that I can move your heart,
With only a gentle whisper?
You wait for me to speak
And hear my every word
You long to hear my every concern
Without judging only to discern
Regardless of what I say,
You listen
Never pushing me aside
You stay by my side
Always wanting to be with me
And never wanting to leave
Your love is like the ocean,
Deep and wide
It crashes over me
With the strongest tide
You hold me in your loving arms
And I bask in your presence
My entire existence
Is consumed by everything you are
Often, I find myself asking, “Who am I?”
And You look down and say,
“You are my child. I love you, I cherish you, and I have redeemed you.
That is who you are.”
