Empty, lost, and confused
Guilty of sin and feeling far from grace
You come softly like a breeze
And wipe every tear from my face
Emmanuel, you are with me
My magnificent Creator,
Although I don’t understand why you’d want me
I am so special to you
From your very hand, you made my being
And in the midst of my struggles
You assure me you’ll never leave
My Redeemer,
You replace the lies that the enemy tells me with your truth
And give me hope
You lovingly tell me I am forgiven
Freedom and peace saturate my soul
My Prince of Peace,
You take away this complacency
And your love saturates me to its fullest extent
I am left captivated and in awe of you
And I wonder why all this time I have often failed to give you all of me
Light of the world,
You shine bright for all to see
Your love so strongly within me
Your beauty shines iridescently in my life
You captivate me
My Savior,
The gift you have given is for my heart’s hold
And my life, I’ll allow you to mold
Shape me into the person you’ve created me to be
For you are my God, and I give you all of me.
